The Opportunity

Onfido an Entrust Company is currently seeking a Solutions Engineer to translate complex business identity problems into practical, technical design solutions. Day to day, you will partner with our Sales teams, applying your technical knowledge to the discovery of customer's user verification and fraud prevention flows and platforms, to help make them safe and user friendly. You will offer intelligent solutions to customer pain points, drawing on our expert identity product offering and that of our partners. Interacting confidently with C-suite clients and prospects from the fastest-growing FinTechs to Fortune 500 / FTSE 100 companies, you will position Onfido as the identity partner of choice.

As a Solutions Engineer at Onfido, you will:

  • Bridge the gap between our product team, building a performing product, and the market in need of such product, as the technically savvy counterpart for our sales team in the shared goal of selling Onfido’s services

  • Partner with the sales team in identifying the customer pain points, and position the right solution to address them with Onfido's services

  • Help customers to design better user experiences through Onfido, to trial our products and integrate our solution into their UX and backend stack

  • Proactively support customers with the design and integration of Onfido API/SDKs

  • Support RFPs (Request for Proposal) and RFIs (Request for Information) with technical, industry and business expertise

  • Project manage trials & customer integration progress together with our account managers

  • Work closely with the product team, bringing them insights from the market and our customers, providing feedback during new features or products development, and collaborating to drive adoption of newly released beta products

  • Collaborate with your regional Solutions Engineering team, and on a global scale, to share knowledge, best practices and foster our culture of winning as a team

  • Assist with the development of demos, trials, and sector-specific presentations

  • Represent Onfido at trade shows, industry events, and in live webinars

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer who can display the below skills and experience throughout our interview process:

Essential:

  • Prior experience as a Pre-sales / Solution Engineer or a background in Product Management with significant exposure to customers and prospect conversations.

  • Practical experience with at least one programming language: Ideally Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Swift/Objective-C, Java.

  • A clear understanding of RESTful API design and integration patterns.

  • The ability to help developers successfully integrate with the Onfido platform.

  • An elevated level of curiosity and ownership

  • Experience being embedded in the sales team whilst working cross-functionally with Account Management, Product, Strategy, and Go-to-Market.

  • Experience in cloud or SaaS technology organisations.

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Identity & Access Management (IAM), Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM), or Digital Identity Verification (IDV).

  • Experience in the payments, cybersecurity, RegTech/Fintech, crypto or financial services industries.

  • Knowledge of security principles and data protection regulation.

  • Proficiency in Spanish, with any additional European languages being advantageous.

Compensation Range:


The pay range for this position is 106,623 - 159,934 Pay ranges will vary and will be set in the applicable currency. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. Please speak with the recruiter for more details.
