The Policy Governance Analyst partners with policy owners to ensure policies are logical, readable, adequate and consistent. The Analyst ensures alignment with the firm policy management program and guides policy owners through the policy lifecycle. The Policy Governance Analyst works cross-functionally with peers in risk management and leaders across the firm to ensure that policies are reflective of the current business framework and aligned with regulatory expectations.

The Policy Governance Analyst partners with policy owners to ensure policies are logical, readable, adequate and consistent. The Analyst ensures alignment with the firm policy management program and guides policy owners through the policy lifecycle. The Policy Governance Analyst works cross-functionally with peers in risk management and leaders across the firm to ensure that policies are reflective of the current business framework and aligned with regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate New Policy Requests: Review and assess proposed new policies against the existing policy inventory to identify opportunities to eliminate duplication, streamline content, and ensure alignment with existing documentation.
- Review Draft Policies: Analyze draft policies for alignment with governance standards, ensuring logical structure, readability, consistency, and adherence to approved templates.
- Guide Policy Owners Through the Lifecycle: Support policy owners throughout the full policy lifecycle-including drafting, stakeholder review, revision, and final approval.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the firm's SME on policy governance standards, advising stakeholders on expectations, required documentation, and best practices.
- Ensure Proper Policy Linkage: Provide guidance on establishing appropriate connections between policies, procedures, and written supervisory procedures (WSPs), including communication and change-management requirements.
- Support Policy Publishing: Assist policy owners with publishing finalized policies into the firm's system of record and ensure compliance with recordkeeping and metadata requirements.
- Maintain Version Control: Track version history and document updates in accordance with governance and regulatory standards.
- Assist With Governance Committees: Help policy owners prepare materials for governance committee reviews and support them in presenting policy changes when needed.
- Support Audits and Exams: Respond to internal audit and regulatory examination requests related to policy governance and the policy inventory.

Skills/Requirements
Read More About Job Overview
- Knowledge or experience with SEC and FINRA rules, advisory processes, fiduciary, broker dealer or banking requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Communications, Business or related field
- 3-5 Years policy related experience
- Experience working with Copilot
