Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by preparing patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional patient care. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly desirable. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining efficient operations and delivering a positive patient experience.

Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
  • Manage patient records using Tracker dental software
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a Dental Receptionist if needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment notes and medical terminology related to dental procedures
  • Support the team with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment

Qualifications

  • Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and dental assisting best practices
