The honest version of who thrives here
You're energized by ambiguity but grounded in structure. You push back when something doesn't make sense, but you pick your battles and know how to bring people along. You don't wait to be told what to do — you identify the gap, propose the path, and go. You've probably worked somewhere where the answer wasn't always obvious and the org wasn't always aligned, and you figured it out anyway.

What will your typical day look like?

LIQUIDITI is on a mission to help financial institutions optimize their balance sheets — enabling faster, more cost-efficient, and precise trading of low-risk fixed-income assets like mortgages and other commercial assets. You'll be the PM driving that product forward: setting direction, cutting through ambiguity, and shipping things that matter to a sophisticated financial services customer base.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage a backlog from a distance. You'll be in the weeds — talking to credit unions and mortgage lenders, shaping how AI capabilities get embedded into workflows, and advocating hard for the right product decisions inside a large, structured organization. You'll know when to work the system and when to challenge it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy for LIQUIDITI — understand the market for fixed-income asset trading, bring genuine domain intuition, and define a roadmap that creates real competitive differentiation for financial institution clients
  • Drive discovery with depth — go beyond surface-level research; get fluent in how mortgage originators, credit unions, and balance sheet managers actually think about risk, liquidity, and trading decisions
  • Write sharp, unambiguous requirements — partner with design and engineering to turn complex financial workflows into clear specs, with zero hand-waving on edge cases
  • Ship with velocity inside a structured environment — navigate governance, stakeholder alignment, and sprint ceremonies without losing momentum; know how to move fast within process
  • Embed AI thinking natively — not as a feature checklist, but as a lens: actively identify where intelligent automation, AI-assisted decisioning, or generative tools can meaningfully accelerate the product or improve the user experience
  • Bridge commercial and technical — work fluidly across engineering, design, sales, and Deloitte business leadership; translate between what clients need, what the market demands, and what the team can build
  • Lead product governance — own backlog grooming, sprint demos, and quarterly reviews; set the standard for how this team operates within the Wonder portfolio
  • Measure what matters — define success metrics, monitor product performance, and use data to make the next call with confidence

About the team

You'll be joining Wonder, Deloitte Canada's internal product foundry — a team that builds and scales proprietary software products across financial services, healthcare, utilities, and more. Wonder operates like a startup with the backing of a global firm: you'll have access to enterprise relationships and Deloitte's client base, alongside the complexity that comes with it. We're building a product-led culture inside a consulting organization — and that means the role requires someone who can advocate for good product practice while being pragmatic about the environment.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

Must-haves:

  • 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech
  • Genuine domain knowledge in financial services — mortgage markets, fixed-income assets, balance sheet management, credit unions, or related areas; you should be able to hold a credible conversation with a CFO or treasury team
  • Experience working in or alongside regulated, enterprise environments where stakeholder alignment is as important as execution
  • Comfortable using AI tools in your day-to-day work (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.) and able to think critically about where and how AI adds real product value — not just where it sounds good in a pitch
  • Strong written and verbal communication; you can write a crisp PRD and present a roadmap to a room of skeptical senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Jira or Rally; you know how to run a clean backlog

    Strong assets:
  • Experience at a fintech, lending platform, capital markets firm, or financial institution
  • Familiarity with concepts like asset-liability management (ALM), secondary mortgage markets, or loan portfolio trading
  • Scrum/PO certification
  • Exposure to AI/ML product development or data-heavy product builds
