What will your typical day look like?

The Functional Manager plays a critical role in enabling global Tax & Legal practices by supporting the deployment, adoption, and optimization of Intela as a core tax collaboration and service delivery platform. This role is focused on understanding how tax work is performed across service lines, market offerings, and geographies, and translating that process knowledge into effective technology enablement. The Manager partners closely with global stakeholders, technology teams, and global deployment leads to ensure solutions align to real‑world tax workflows and support consistent, scalable delivery across the Deloitte network.

Intela is Deloitte’s global tax collaboration platform, designed to enable consistent, connected, and scalable tax delivery across service lines and geographies.

Work You’ll Do

The Intela Functional Team supports global Tax & Legal practices by enabling the deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimization of Intela as a core tax collaboration and delivery platform. As a Manager, this role requires a practical understanding of how tax work is performed across service lines and geographies, and how technology is embedded into those processes to support consistent delivery at scale.

  • Apply a solid understanding of end‑to‑end tax processes across multiple Tax & Legal service lines and market offerings to support functional design, deployment, and adoption activities.
  • Translate tax process requirements and service‑line‑specific needs into clear functional inputs, user stories, and deployment guidance.
  • Partner with global stakeholders to understand how tax collaboration software is deployed and used across geographies including differences in operating models, regulatory considerations, and maturity levels.
  • Support Business User Testing (BUT) for Intela releases by providing guidance to global stakeholders, associated release reporting, etc.
  • Leverage AI‑enabled tools (e.g., copilots, automation, analytics) where appropriate to support testing, documentation, analysis, and preparation of demos and stakeholder materials, in line with firm policies and responsible‑AI standards.
  • Participate in Accelerated Discovery calls, contributing service‑line and process‑level insights to ensure solutions meet business needs while supporting global consistency.
  • Provide detailed functional feedback on new features under development, informed by an understanding of tax delivery models and cross‑service‑line dependencies.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, well‑structured demonstrations and walkthroughs showing how Intela supports tax processes across offerings and geographies.
  • Develop high‑quality PowerPoint materials on a range of topics.
  • Provide recommendations on configuration options and approaches based on local tax processes
  • Act as a day‑to‑day connector between technology teams and tax stakeholders, ensuring issues, risks, and dependencies are identified and managed proactively.
