Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior in Costa Mesa, California.
Work You’ll Do
Help client management understand, plan for, and deal with the complex and dynamic issues surrounding international taxation. Work with economists, attorneys, and tax specialists to analyze and resolve international tax issues faced by multinational corporations. Provide assistance for multiple tax engagements, as well as provide multinational clients with professional tax planning and return preparation services. Research complex tax issues and ensure their resolution with the support of subordinate professional accountants. Provide analysis of companies’ tax profile in order to respond to client needs, and so as to provide clients with professional tax planning and return preparation services. Assist with overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns and financial statements. Formulate tax planning strategies utilizing accounting methods and periods, capital transactions, corporate taxation, and IRS practice and procedures. Assist with determining the potential impact of such developments on client business. Draft proposals, reports, document requests and other correspondence related to business engagements. Prepare charts, reports and presentations. Review and analyze financial statements, utilizing sophisticated software to assist with tax return preparation. Will commute within the Costa Mesa, CA area to consult with clients concerning the above duties.
Requirements
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eighteen months of experience as a Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience performing tax planning, reporting and compliance for U.S. multinational corporations.
Experience must include eighteen months of:
- preparing international tax compliance forms and informational returns, including Forms 1120F, 5471, 5472, 8865 and 8858 disclosures and statements;
- performing passive foreign investment company (PFIC) analysis and testing to determine appropriate filing requirements and U.S. federal income tax consequences; and
- utilizing CCH and BNA to research various U.S. federal income tax issues and analyze tax rules and regulations of foreign jurisdictions.
Less than 10% domestic travel outside normal commuting distance.
Other
Annual Salary: $81,620.00 - $151,580.00.
