Work you’ll do
In your role, you will be responsible for envisioning and developing new digital products. You will execute day-to-day product development activities across design, development, stakeholder communication, technology vendor management and delivery. Act as the technical visionary and leader for ongoing and future software development efforts.
You will also be evangelizing the Cloud-first strategy for software development teams
Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition and design of robust infrastructure solutions that prioritize scalability, high performance, and secure network architecture. Shape the product vision by architecting infrastructure frameworks that support world-class digital products and solutions.
- Partner closely with Cyber and Security teams to embed security controls within all infrastructure designs
- Develop proof-of-concepts to showcase the feasibility of innovative ideas and infrastructure advancements.
- Take ownership of designing security at both the network and identity levels, ensuring that secure access controls and authentication frameworks are integral to all infrastructure solutions. Proactively implement best practices for network segmentation, identity management, and access governance to safeguard critical assets and data.
- Provide technical support for analysis of business requirements and applicability to the current or planned Platform/Enabler/API Platform capabilities
- Participate in E2E functionality assessment during Validation Testing phases (SIT, UAT)
- Manage the cost of infrastructure in the cloud as well as manage budgets and cost forecasting.
- Drive recommendations for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements
- Design efficient, secure, adaptable, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions that include Azure infrastructure and platform services (data, networking, application)

Responsibilities:
As the Cloud Architect, lead the definition and design of robust infrastructure solutions that prioritize scalability, high performance, and secure network architecture. Shape the product vision by architecting infrastructure frameworks that support world-class digital products and solutions.
Oversee complex client engagements and projects, ensuring business requirements are accurately captured and expectations are effectively managed. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish clear interface specifications and call flows for all infrastructure components.
Provide expert technical guidance in evaluating business requirements and determining their alignment with current or future platform, enabler, or API capabilities. Take an active role in end-to-end functionality assessments during key validation testing phases, such as SIT and UAT.
Demonstrate proficiency in technical programming by managing and guiding teams in designing, developing, and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions. Act as the primary technical liaison, bridging communication between business stakeholders, project teams, and developers/testers.
Lead development teams in the implementation and optimization of infrastructure, consistently improving platform performance and reliability. Take responsibility for managing cloud infrastructure costs, forecasting budgets, and driving cost-effective solutions.
Provide strategic recommendations for business prioritization, roadmap planning, and ongoing product enhancements. Architect efficient, secure, adaptable, and scalable cloud solutions, with a focus on Azure infrastructure and platform services covering data, networking, and applications.
Champion DevOps practices to enable continuous delivery and resilient, self-healing systems. Partner closely with Cyber and Security teams to embed security controls within all infrastructure designs.
Develop proof-of-concepts to showcase the feasibility of innovative ideas and infrastructure advancements and adoption of new services. Lead project deliverables across multiple workstreams, maintaining high standards of engineering discipline and quality.
Promote and uphold Agile and Scrum methodologies in development processes. Apply sound judgment to balance infrastructure constraints with business objectives.
Demonstrate the courage to advocate for what is best for the product, team, department, and company. Foster a culture of mentorship, supporting technical and professional growth within the team.

Product Engineering (PxE)
Product Engineering (PxE) is the internal software and applications development team responsible for delivering leading-edge technologies to Deloitte professionals. Their broad portfolio includes web and mobile productivity tools that empower our people to log expenses, enter timesheets, book travel and more, anywhere, anytime. Pxe enables our client service professionals through a comprehensive suite of applications across the business lines. In addition to application delivery, PxE offers full-scale design services, a robust mobile portfolio, cutting-edge analytics, and innovative custom development.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within, .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure with a proven record of designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable, and performant solutions on large-scale globally distributed systems.
- Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud providers
- Prior experience and exposure to BI Tools - like Tableau, PowerBI, Qliksense and DI Tools like Informatica etc.
- Prior experience with PaaS services; understands leading practices and adoption patterns.
- Prior experience with IaaS, such as Microsoft SQL Server and database administration (e.g., Always On)
- Prior experience with networking, firewalls, load-balancers in Azure and on-premise.
- Prior experience analyzing and manipulating data on Excel or similar tools.
- Prior experience of cost management on Azure or on any CSP. As well as cost saving techniques on different clouds.
- Prior experience with messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding.
- Prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other most common backend Microsoft technologies.
- Prior experience building sustainable relationships with colleagues and key individuals.
- Prior experience automating the provisioning and automation of your architectures and solutions (i.e., Infrastructure-as-Code)
- Prior experience and understanding of event-driven and delegate-based design paradigms.
- Prior experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of various normal forms.
- Prior experience in developing of IT architecture plans and software development methodologies.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100 to $208,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
