Position Summary
Work You’ll Do:
The SAP Security Specialist serves as the principal advisor to senior client leadership on Special Access Program (SAP) security. This role provides expert guidance on USSF, DoD, and national-level SAP policy and oversees a wide range of security disciplines including personnel, operations, AIS, industrial, information, physical, and communications security. The specialist develops and manages SAP/SAR security programs to ensure regulatory compliance and mission assurance for sensitive operations at the collateral, SCI, and SAP levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise senior leadership on SAP/SAR policy and program implementation
- Develop and oversee SAP/SAR security requirements across all disciplines
- Analyze and apply DoD, DAF, USSF, and agency security principles to resolve complex challenges
- Create and manage comprehensive security plans (physical, information, personnel, IT)
- Identify and mitigate risks; respond to emerging threats
- Implement management controls and incident tracking for early issue resolution
- Validate access requirements and manage personnel security investigations
- Guide C-FLDCOM-wide personnel security programs and policy execution
- Ensure facility security standards for SAPF/SCIF construction and modification
- Conduct inspections, review facility checklists, and prepare TSWA requests
- Draft SOPs and co-utilization agreements to meet multi-level security compliance

Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in SAP/SAR security management across collateral, SCI, and SAP levels
- In-depth knowledge of DoD, DAF, USSF, and national SAP policies
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active TS/SCI required
- Ability to travel 10-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Excellent written and verbal communication; experience drafting SOPs and security documentation
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional security program management
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Assurance, or related field
- Certifications such as CISSP, SAPPC, or equivalent
- Experience with SAPF/SCIF construction and compliance
- Prior support to PACAF, USSF, or similar defense organizations
- Experience in inspections, audits, and risk assessments in classified environments
