We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced System Architect with over 15 years of experience in enterprise software development, including at least 5 years of architectural leadership using Java EE and the Spring framework. This role demands strong technical acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead transformation across large-scale, mission-critical systems.

As a System Architect, you will provide architectural direction and governance across multiple initiatives, ensuring that technical solutions are innovative, secure, scalable, and aligned with long-term enterprise goals. You will work closely with stakeholders across business and technology teams to convert business objectives into robust and practical architectural designs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex enterprise applications leveraging Java EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Deliver high-level architecture and design artifacts, guiding the engineering teams from concept to implementation
  • Oversee integration of legacy systems with modern architectures, driving digital transformation efforts.
  • Influence and shape the overall technical strategy across cross-functional teams
  • Provide governance and review of solution architectures to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams in build-it/run-it models to ensure maintainability and operational resilience.
  • Mentor and guide development teams, fostering architectural consistency and best practices.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and executives.
  • Drive architectural decisions that ensure scalability, performance, security, and compliance

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 15+ years of overall IT experience, with a strong focus on enterprise software development and architecture.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting solutions using Java EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Extensive experience with microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native design patterns.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives, including legacy modernization.
  • Strong technical breadth, with understanding of both infrastructure and application layers.
  • Proven experience influencing technical strategy and driving the execution of cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including executive and senior leadership.
  • Experience working in Agile/iterative delivery environments, preferably with exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • In depth experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, business logic layer, data access layer)
  • Strong skills (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring data, Spring-Core, Spring transactions etc.,) on J2EE Framework and internals of the architecture, including JSP, EJB, servlets, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, JTA transaction services, logging (Log4J), thread management and development of asynchronous java processes
  • Experience in building multi module projects, compiling, building, and packaging the source code into Jars, Wars & EARs and deploying them in Application Servers (WebSphere, Jboss etc.,)
  • Demonstrates hands-on experience with relational databases (such as Oracle or similar) and display a good understanding of database principles/SQL beyond just data access
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral and ability to smoothly interact with development team leadership and clients
  • Experience in understanding system security measures and how to implement them (e.g., SQL injections, cookies etc.)
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with integrating disparity systems using Middleware such as Data Power, MuleSoft etc.,
  • Have worked on Integrated Eligibility projects and understand complexity of Worker portal and self-service portal applications
  • Good understanding of Integrated Eligibility applications data structures and third party integrations
  • Ability to travel 0 - 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
