Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior Manager in New York, New York.
Work You’ll Do
Oversee the day-to-day operations and execution of multiple engagements. Assist global companies with balancing compliance details, overseeing audit risk and long-term tax strategy. Develop transfer pricing strategies, audit defense, and documentation to cover the spectrum of transfer pricing issues. Help companies understand national, state and local and international tax structures and align the tax function with business objectives. Stay abreast of current tax legislative developments and utilize the latest technology and strategies to help clients with complex and dynamic issues surrounding their transfer pricing needs. Develop economic analysis and models alongside Ph.D. economists, attorneys and other tax specialists in order to advise multinational corporations on how best to resolve global tax and finance issues. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, selling services, and oversee all aspects of an engagement from the planning to the execution stage. Provide overall direction to team members on how to incorporate financial information into a proprietary financial model and conducting economic, financial and accounting analyses, and conduct trainings for Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants. Formulate and present proposals and reports to senior executives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Economics, Finance, Taxation, Accounting or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
- Six (6) years of experience as a Tax Senior Manager or related occupation gaining experience preparing U.S. or foreign transfer pricing reports documenting intercompany transactions for various multinational companies.
- Experience must include three (3) years of:
- Reviewing technical aspects of the regulatory framework of transfer pricing documentation and consulting work;
- Analyzing U.S. regulations or their OECD counterparts governing intangibles and cost-sharing;
- Drafting transfer pricing reports for multilateral Advance Pricing Agreements, Business Model Optimization, and global tax compliance in accordance with IRC 482 or OECD guidelines;
- Utilizing tax research tools and transfer pricing databases, including Compustat, Bureau van Dijk (Osiris and Amadeus), RoyaltyStat, S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv Workspace, EMIS and IBIS World, and statistical software, including MS Excel, designed to conduct transfer pricing analysis;
- Applying new regulatory principles and guidelines under OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) initiative, preparing country-by-country reports, functional modules, Masterfile to document clients’ global business structures, and the functional and risk related information;
- Performing quarterly ASC 740 reviews on transfer pricing reserves, preparing audits, and reviewing workpapers and memos;
- Utilizing Bloomberg Terminal to perform interest rate swaps, foreign currency swaps, inter-company loan pricing, and calculation of de-levered discount rates to conduct intercompany transfer pricing analysis;
- Utilizing various economic modeling methods, including discounted cash flow, realistic alternatives, income, residual profits, services costs, and other relevant methods as described in the U.S. transfer pricing regulations under IRC 482 or their OECD counterparts, to perform valuation of intangible/tangible assets in the transfer pricing context;
- Engaging in strategic transfer pricing planning, service cost allocation, audit defense, and advance pricing agreement negotiations; and
- Assisting with the full engagement lifecycle, including staffing, budgeting, and closing out projects, and mentoring and coaching junior team members.
- Salary: $178,010.00 - $330,590.00/year
