The team
Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS) practice – our people, ideas, technology and outcomes—is designed for impact. Serving federal, state, & local government clients as well as public higher education institutions, our team of over 15,000+ professionals brings fresh perspective to help clients anticipate disruption, reimagine the possible, and fulfill their mission promise.
Our Crisis & Grants Management team delivers innovative, connective, human-centered and sustainable crisis and grants management services to help organizations and communities prepare for, prevent, respond to, recover from and mitigate risks caused by operational disruptions and crises. We help our clients define future state visions, develop strategic roadmaps, establish governance infrastructure, operationalize processes, measure and monitor performance, innovate through technology, and deliver quality program outcomes in an expedited, cost effective and compliant manner. Together we create more resilient communities and responsive ecosystems through incident action planning, grant risk assessments, improving grant processes and operations, future and contingency planning, and data analytics.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.
- Expected to co-locate in your designated office/USDC location up to 30% of the time.
- Must live in a commutable distance or be willing to relocate to the Lake Mary, FL Delivery location.
- 5+ years of experience in the following:
- Grants management experience at the state, local and/or federal level supporting disaster recovery programs.
- Emergency management, crisis management, continuity of operations, business continuity or disaster recovery.
- Managing disaster grants such FEMA's Public Assistance Grant Program, FEMA's Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, or HUD’s Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery.
- Executing risk management strategies that ensure continuity of operations and providing guidance to executive stakeholders on claims management following a disaster.
- Advising federal, state, or local government stakeholders on strategies to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
- 2 CFR 200; GAAP; OMB Circulars (A-110, A-122, and A-133)
- 2+ years of experience in the Microsoft Office Suite to include:
- Pivot Tables, V Lookups or Formulas within Excel
- Developing PowerPoints for external stakeholders.
- 1+ year outside consulting experience providing support to state, local, or federal grants programs.
