Want to put your knowledge of construction project management into practice? Help manage coordinate end-to-end office fit-out projects that challenge the conventional to deliver on exceptional employee experiences.
What will your typical day look like?
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting Corporate Real Estate project delivery through all phases, learning from experienced Project Managers, including the following duties:
- Coordinate project activities: Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure smooth project operations and timely completion of tasks
- Support development and maintenance of project plans including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure successful execution of projects.
- Monitor project progress: Track and monitor project milestones, budgets, and timelines, identifying any potential risks or issues and taking proactive measures to address them.
- Support budget management: Assist in budget planning and tracking, ensuring that project expenses are accurately recorded and aligned with the allocated budget.
- Assist in risk management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, working closely with the project manager and team to proactively address and minimize risks.
- Prepare project documentation: Generate and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and status updates, to ensure clear communication and documentation of project activities. Create and manage the project repository
- Conduct research and analysis: Gather and analyze data related to Corporate Real Estate projects, such as market trends, financial projections, and regulatory requirements, to support informed decision-making
- Coordinating site logistics: Arrange site access for vendors and contractors. Assist site walkthroughs with consultants, project team and vendors. Coordinate activities onsite during pre-construction and construction phases
- Support project closeout: Assist in project closeout activities, including finalizing documentation, tracking deficiencies rectification, final invoicing, etc.
- Provide administrative support including purchase orders, service now tickets, invoice review and processing
About the team
The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team has three streams: Workplace Strategy & Design, Project Management and Lease Administration. Each stream is led by a stream leader that reports to the Director, Corporate Real Estate.
The Project Management stream includes 4 internal resources that work with other Deloitte cross functional teams to deliver the national capital program for Corporate Real Estate.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with:
- 1 – 3 years of experience within project management, architecture, real estate facilities, engineering, or interior design.
- Strong organizational skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Problem-solving abilities: To address any issues or obstacles that may arise during the project lifecycle. Ability to think critically, analyze situations, and propose effective solutions to keep the project on track.
- Attention to detail: Have a keen eye for detail to ensure that all project documentation, reports, and deliverables are accurate and error-free. Meticulous in reviewing project plans, budgets, and schedules to identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
- Proven software and general technology competency: Microsoft Office Suite. MS Project is an asset.
- Team player mentality: Collaborative team player, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders. Ability to build positive relationships, mediate conflicts, and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $47,000 - $78,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
