Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Houston, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Manage software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Evaluate the information technology project needs of an organization, develop strategies to increase the company's profitability, and design and implement plans to comply with legislation and ensure business growth. Manage day-to-day interactions with executives and sponsors and develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients. Lead aspects of the information technology project proposal development process and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience. Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Utilizing Jira and Nimble (FNA Digite) to guide software advisory and implementation services for clients in the Financial Services industries;
  • Participating in all phases of Agile project delivery and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for designing, developing, testing, and implementing FIS’s GMI, Trade Clearing platform (Middle and Back Office), IBM iSeries AS400 applications and End-to-End (E2E) Distributed Architecture for enterprise-level clients;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments, utilizing Confluence, Signavio and Microsoft (MS) Visio;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders utilizing Jira, and Microsoft Professional Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project;
  • Coordinating the project responsibilities of cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to ensure efficient completion of project tasks, utilizing Agile frameworks including Kanban and Scrum;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs, utilizing user stories in MS Visio and Jira;
  • Guiding teams focused on Front-2-Back Post-Trade Technology Transformations on engagements for Buy or Sell side of Financial Services client; and
  • Reviewing codes and providing recommendations for solution implementation, utilizing Eclipse, and IntelliJ IDEA to resolve technical issues during project rollouts, utilizing L3 Support model with Production Management Planning.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week;
