Position Summary
Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Gilbert, Arizona and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.
• 15% Travel required nationally.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:
• Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, utilizing software Agile methodology and reviewing documentation from Jira and Confluence;
• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence;
• Conducting unit testing of web services and web applications, using Mockito framework to help write unit and integration test cases for the developed applications;
• Developing domain classes and database access methods using Object-oriented Programming (OOP) and Java Database connectivity tools, including Spring Boot JPA;
• Creating web applications using Representational State Transfer (REST) based microservices with Spring Boot framework to provide service and data to users using a secure gateway, including Spring Boot Cloud;
• Designing and developing applications using Java as the OOP language for back-end, HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and Node JS for front-end, and MySQL for database, to meet functional needs for software applications;
• Architecting, implementing, and supporting web-based infrastructure and topologies and supporting continuous integration and deployments of applications, using Maven; and
• Working with a team of developers to produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing Scrum and Agile methodologies.
