What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Engineer in Solutions Architecture, you will take the technical lead during pre-sales engagements, using a consultative approach towards the customer to fully understand their overall business goals. From there, you’ll translate the client’s business requirements into specific systems or applications for complex technology solutions. You’ll also be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization and sustainment of 5G and broadband radio systems to ensure high‑performance wireless network operations. And you’ll identify potential sales and growth opportunities and partner with key stakeholders to maximize these prospects.
You will:
- Lead pre‑sales qualification efforts and deliver comprehensive architectural designs, strategies, and implementation plans aligned to customer needs
- Build and strengthen customer relationships to uncover new opportunities and expand engagement within existing accounts
- Oversee project quality assurance and provide guidance or mentorship to technical teams on large, complex initiatives
- Apply deep expertise in Dell Technologies products, integration capabilities, and industry trends to design and implement modern, end‑to‑end IT solutions that meet customers’ business, technical, and financial objectives
- Translate complex client requirements into scalable system, application, or process architectures while contributing thought leadership through white papers and customer‑facing solution consultations

Essential Requirements:
- Robust writing skills and demonstrated ability to document processes for the customer
- Strong customer communication skills
- Knowledge, understanding and application of Project Management concepts and methodologies
- Active Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) DOD Security Clearance
- US Citizen
Desirable Requirements:
- Typically requires 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
- Dell Proven Professional Certification
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $142,800 - $184,800.
