What you’ll achieve
As a Software Principal Engineer (DevOps and LabOps), you will be a key hands-on technical subject matter expert ‑who will design, build and operationalizes the AI powered CICD frameworks, automate the cloud native environment setups via IaaC, and develop core infrastructure for both Cloud and On-prem solution and managing it. You will embed AI Integrated, first class DevOps and LabOps principles into the engineering lifecycle to uplift speed, quality, and innovation across Dell’s solution platforms, AIOPS and cutting Native Edge IoT solutions.
You will:
Join our Developer Enablement Team as a key contributor, responsible for managing and scaling the development and testing infrastructure, and design and implement end-to-end solutions that enable the software delivery lifecycle to move faster with quality.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development and operations, to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance CICD operations and efficiency.
Leverage AI-driven engineering practices to increase development velocity, improve code quality, and enhance automation capabilities across the platform-driven engineering practices
Responsible for procuring and setting up Dell Edge Hardware in Bangalore Lab and manage the infrastructure end to end “from networking to operating systems and to enabling this within CICD framework”, and support development and QA team on hardware needs and issues based on the product demands.

Essential Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience with strong hands-on CI/CD pipeline, tools and technologies (like Jenkin, github actions, artifactory etc...) along with sound knowledge on container-based deployment models in Kubernetes using Helm.
- Experience in managing servers in labs including installation, upgrades, monitoring, and maintenance. Deep understanding of Linux administration, virtualized environments (VMware/vSphere), VLANs, routing, switching, and secure lab configurations.
- Hand-on experience with one of the IaaC tools like Ansible, Terraform or Kiwi-NG or similar tools. Development experience using Python or shell scripts or similar automation frameworks.
- Experience in observability and monitoring setup, and in managing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix or similar.
Desirable Requirements
- Hands-on experience with different Linux operating systems, RKE, Rancher, and OpenShift, any cloud management experience AWS, Azure or similar and strong grasp of security principles.
- Experience in using AI driven or AI assisted software delivery and development practices, including code generation, automated refactoring, intelligent tooling, or other AI enhanced engineering workflows
