What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will direct the activities of a software development function for software application enhancements and new products. You will work with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of computer programs.

You will:

• Perform essential HR duties, including hiring new employees, establishing good rapport with all team members through formal and informal interactions, provide regular performance feedback, and help manage business requirements in terms of OpEx and CapEx budgets.

• Act as business owner of the team and ensure the team members perform as a cohesive high-performance team, delivering high-quality, on-time products that meet and exceed customer needs

• Facilitate and drive engineering execution of team by working closely with a cross-functional team of other Engineering Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other stakeholders in a Scrum@Scale model

• Be an advocate for continuous process improvements that go towards quality, velocity of product deliveries and DQA transformation in general

• Have deep insights into both external and internal KPIs of PowerStore, with special focus on the Platform area. Stay informed of competitive and technology landscape in the midrange storage market and help strike a balance between long-term technology advancements with short and medium term commitments

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years experience in leading software development teams in the low-level platform area

• Demonstrated experience in leading software development teams, with a strong emphasis on hardware/firmware and 3rd party software integration with complex systems software components in a containerized deployment model

• Proven track record of owning and leading cross-functional areas and delivering robust, high-performance, and reliable software solutions across diverse platforms.

• Experience with modern DevOps practices used to track and deliver software in a CI/CD/CT environment. Quick to adapt and learn new tools, programming languages, and operating systems through structured training and hands-on experience.

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with past hands-on development experience in C/C++/Python. Experience with Jira and Agile development methodologies. Knowledge of the Linux kernel, kernel drivers and systems level programming. Experience in embedded system bring-up and lifecycle management, including upgrades. Knowledge of Enterprise storage systems and storage protocols
