Senior Quality Engineering Manager

Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyse the results, provide feedback to developers, and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.

What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Quality Engineering Manager, you will direct the activities of a software testing development function for quality enhancements in PowerStore. You will work with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of our testing framework, processes and product features.

You will:

• Participate in long-range planning and development of operational goals and engineering specifications

• Contribute to the modification, development and implementation of company practices and policies that affect subordinate employees

• Create schedules and work plans and be accountable for managing a budget

• Provide innovative solutions to complex problems and communicate progress toward project/program goals

• Liaise with senior management to report on project and program milestones and to present project needs

Essential Requirements

• Highly experienced in leading teams in an Agile Scrum work environment.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to apply software lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies in a cost-effective manner in order to bring high-quality products to market on time.

• Solid understanding of appropriate technologies (Storage, OS, NAS, Networking, Virtualization or Data recovery and backup systems), vendor products and competitor offerings

• Capability to write and review requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, tech plans and documentation.

Desirable Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience, of which 4+ years managerial experience.3+ years hands on development experience in Python or Java.

• Knowledge and understanding of CI/CD Pipelines and tools
