What you’ll achieve
In this Global Privacy Program Manager role, you will be a subject matter expert on privacy, driving privacy compliance and guiding privacy support in across the organization. You will work cross-functionally to ensure privacy policies and requirements are implemented across business processes and be a subject matter expert on implementation of privacy by design. Reporting to Dell’s Director of Privacy Management and Compliance, you will implement Privacy Office strategic priorities, proactively identify and manage privacy risks across product group business processes, ensure that Dell operates within the law, and drive adoption of privacy policies, standards, and procedures across the organization. This will include ensuring that processes, projects, applications, systems, processes, and data exchanges are in accordance with Dell’s Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, Procedures and Standards.

You will:

  • Serve as subject matter expert on privacy management and operational and technical implementation of privacy controls, and guide key privacy initiatives and projects

  • Work cross-functionally to develop, embed, and maintain robust privacy controls including privacy by design practices across Dell systems, products, offers and services

  • Conduct and advise on Privacy Impact Assessments of key business initiatives

  • Coordinate with business teams to develop and maintain standards, procedures, and playbooks to ensure compliance and mitigate privacy risk

  • Collaborate on complex strategic projects across teams in and out of the Privacy Office, including privacy lawyers, privacy engineers, product legal, and security teams

Essential Requirements

  • At least 5-10 years’ experience implementing and advising on privacy compliance, including privacy by design, preferably within the tech industry with a degree or experience in computer science, data science, engineering, cybersecurity, or related field preferred

  • Extensive knowledge of privacy law, regulations, frameworks, and best practices and understanding of global privacy compliance program management

  • Strong technical background with command of IT, software, data analytics, and/or engineering concepts and processes, including development, design, and architecture of IT technology, data handling processes, data flows, and data lifecycle management

  • Experience with privacy risk management across jurisdictions, with ability to apply smart risk and anticipate privacy compliance issues/risks

  • Provided direct support of a business unit or function on privacy issues

Desirable Requirements

  • Technical or engineering expertise and experience, including implementation of privacy operational technologies, including experience working in the OneTrust environment, and privacy-enhancing technologies such as state of the art encryption, pseudonymization and anonymization techniques

  • Legal qualification and/or IAPP/CIPP/CIPM/CIPT privacy certifications are a plus
