What you’ll achieve

We are looking for an enthusiastic compliance counsel to join Dell's Regulatory Compliance Legal team. This person will be a strategic partner to the Sales and Sales Legal teams, helping to enable global sales in compliance with various regulatory requirements. You will primarily support the drafting and filing of licenses with global regulators to authorize sales and services of Dell products worldwide, and you will also help to ensure best practices to facilitate the signing of contracts. This role will directly report to Dell's Director of Global Compliance in the legal department.

You will:

• Draft and file export license applications for the sale and services of Dell products worldwide with support from colleagues across various functions

• Partner with business leads to strategically prioritize license submissions

• Review and approve contract escalations to ensure our customers, vendors, and partners share our commitment to compliance

• Draft and implement relevant legal compliance contract templates, Letters of Assurance, and Third-Party Engagement Letters to ensure the company's full legal rights and to protect Dell

Essential Requirements

• J.D. plus admission to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction required

• 4+ years legal experience in a global business and/or law firm with an interest in developing expertise in trade compliance and risk mitigation

• Foundational knowledge and awareness of trade compliance issues in current geopolitical climate

• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive and/or proactive strategies; ability to anticipate legal compliance issues or risks and to “see around the corner”

Desirable Requirements

• Legal experience in trade compliance and risk mitigation issues and/or negotiating commercial agreements
