As part of this team, you will help choose the right IT tools to maximize the effectiveness of deployed defenses and rapidly troubleshoot impacted systems.

What you’ll achieve

As a Public Cloud Security Engineer, you will support the design and implementation of technologies for enforcement of security controls across Dell’s public cloud infrastructure. This will include consultation with application owners, IT, business units, and other teams within Dell Cybersecurity to enhance security controls and detections for public cloud-based workloads. You will also work in a collaborative team environment utilizing Agile development methodologies and learning cross-functional skills to support a range of technologies as a product offering.

You will:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain large-scale systems across multiple cloud environments

• Leverage scripting, automation, and configuration management tools to accelerate the secure adoption of public cloud within Dell Technologies

• Work with global teams and business units to understand the behavior, design, and architecture of applications and network infrastructure to develop and deploy adequate controls

Essential Requirements

• 3-5 years professional experience securing or administering large enterprise public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) along with knowledge of core cybersecurity principles.

• Engineering and operational support of cloud security in AWS or Azure or GCP for I/PaaS or SaaS

• Engineering and operational support for workloads in cloud container platforms such as Kubernetes (AKS / EKS)

• Experience with REST API, security policies and strong knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud security concepts as well as hands-on configuration of CI/CD pipeline security tools for cloud-native deployments.

• ​Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues and conducting security assessments, and audits to reduce risk to the public cloud environment.

Desired Requirements

• Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP) or Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) Cloud Security Certification(s) – e.g., CCSP, CCSK, AZ-500, SC-300, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer. Familiarity with modern authentication, OAUTH, SAML etc.

• Experience developing and applying benchmarks to cloud hosted infrastructure and applications
