Immediate contract for a Senior Technical Writer. Primary focus: document conversion projects from MS Word, PDF, and Framemaker into XML (DITA), including building necessary tags, document indexes, and cross references. Requires adherence to standards, specifications, and language usage principles, and knowledge of the publishing/documentation management process. Must demonstrate collaboration, facilitation, negotiation skills; able to work both as part of a team and independently.Skills Required- Technical writing.- Experience using XML authoring tools.- Familiarity with XML, XSL, DITA, XHTML.- Familiarity with Oxygen Author Editor.- Experience with Framemaker and PDF publishing.- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational and time management skills.Nice to Have- Familiarity with IBM Knowledge Base and multiple CMS.- Familiarity with IBM mainframe technology.To apply: Send resume and cover letter to careers@dkl.com
