Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Support project delivery as a contributing member of a cross-functional implementation team; lead discrete functional workstreams (rather than overall project leadership).
- Elicit, document and validate client business requirements for assigned workstreams with emphasis on finance and operations processes (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, inventory, purchasing, sales).
- Configure D365 Business Central modules to meet business requirements for assigned workstreams; plan and run configuration workshops for those areas.
- Support and perform data conversion/migration activities for your workstreams, including mapping, cleansing, and validation of financial and operational data.
- Prepare and execute unit, integration and user acceptance testing for workstream scope; document test cases and manage defect resolution within the workstream.
- Create end-user documentation, runbooks, and training materials for your assigned modules; deliver training sessions to functional users and power users.
- Assist with integrations to external systems (ERP-adjacent systems, payment, payroll, bank interfaces) in collaboration with technical/integration teams.
- Provide go-live and post-implementation support for assigned workstreams: cutover planning for your scope, monitoring, issue resolution and knowledge transfer.
- Advise clients on functional design choices and process improvements within the scope of your workstreams, balancing business requirements and product capabilities.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities for opportunities you support: scoping, effort estimates, and solutioning for Business Central components.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Business Central features and Microsoft’s roadmap relevant to your functional areas.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 1–2 years of hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (functional/implementation role).
- Demonstrated experience working with financials (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management) and operations (inventory, purchasing, sales/order management).
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts and business processes, and the ability to translate them into system design and configuration.
- Experience with data migration, testing, user training, and cutover support in ERP implementations.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills; comfortable presenting to business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently on workstreams and collaboratively in a project team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (e.g., CA, ACA, CA(SA) or equivalent).
- Strong depth in Financials and Operations modules of Business Central.
- Experience with common integrations (banking, payment providers, third-party logistics, payroll).
- Prior consulting/project experience delivering client engagements and participating in pre-sales/proposal activities.
