Tax Services Associate – FTCS


Job Description

Crowe is seeking a Tax Services Associate – FTCS to join the Crowe Tax team in India. At Crowe Tax India, our purpose is “Shaping Your Better Tomorrow. Together. Today.” This purpose inspires us, and our values — Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship — define us.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Federal Tax Consulting Services (FTCS) team. This role provides exposure to specialized areas of U.S. federal tax consulting, with opportunities to contribute to high-value client projects while building technical expertise.

FTCS Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and analysis of R&D credit calculations and supporting documentation, Form 6765
  • Prepare workpapers, perform take-offs using BlueBeam, and support property classification, cost segregation, develop strong knowledge of bifurcation between Building Property, Personal Property, and Qualified Improvement Property (QIP).
  • Contribute to preparation-level work across multiple areas, including:
    • UNICAP (Section 263A)
    • Form 3115 Method Changes
    • Section 266 Interest Capitalization
    • Inventory Valuation (LIFO & FIFO)
  • Support preparation and initial review of energy-related credit calculations.
  • Collaborate with tax managers and senior staff to deliver high-quality consulting services within timelines.
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge and stay informed on evolving IRS guidance and federal tax regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, BlueBeam, and tax research databases
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, CPA, or Enrolled Agent certification (or working toward one)
  • Prior internship or work experience in U.S. federal tax consulting, cost segregation, or R&D credits
  • Exposure to method changes, inventory valuation, or energy credit calculations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex partnership structures and client portfolios
  • Technology skills including MS Office, Alteryx, and other tax automation tools
