Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Tax Manager to join our growing Lead Tax Services team. In this leadership role, you will provide high-level tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. You will have the opportunity to manage complex engagements, advise clients on strategic tax planning, and play an integral role in mentoring and developing staff.

Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee tax compliance and consulting engagements across corporate, partnership, and individual entities.
Provide technical expertise in corporate tax provisions, including review and planning for PEG-owned operating company partnerships.
Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, and other complex tax matters.
Manage multiple client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor while delivering excellent service.
Supervise, coach, and mentor staff, fostering professional growth and supporting a collaborative team culture.
Conduct and oversee advanced tax research, ensuring compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations, including expertise in Sections 300, 700, and 1500.
Utilize tax technology tools to improve processes and enhance client outcomes.
Stay current with industry changes, tax legislation, and emerging best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation or LLM is a plus
CPA required
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in public accounting or a corporate/public blend
Strong technical expertise in general tax principles, with advanced knowledge of IRC Sections 300, 700, and 1500
Experience reviewing corporate tax provisions and working with PEG-owned operating company partnerships
Experience with corporate and partnership acquisitions/dispositions strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage and grow strong client relationships
Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, engagement management, and leadership
Strong writing, communication, and tax research skills
Familiarity with tax technology platforms; advanced proficiency is a plus

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
