Overview:
The Resource Management Senior Associate (RM) is a highly organized and dynamic person that will interact with executives and staff at all levels. This individual will be responsible for optimizing the allocation and utilization of resources, ensuring that projects are staffed appropriately, and that resource scheduling aligns with our strategic objectives. The Resource Management Senior Associate will assist in project planning, staff management, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
- Execute the scheduling function within the Consulting business unit which includes maintenance of an up-to-date schedule, staff allocation, conflict resolution, alignment of staff career goals, and reporting.
- Enter open client needs into Retain staffing database.
- Enter individual resource scheduled time into Retain.
- Maximize the utilization of our people based on their skills and career development goals while meeting the needs of our clients and our business objectives.
- Manage scheduling conflicts and determine resolutions, escalate to manager as necessary.
- Report on and analyze resource productivity compared to scheduled time.
- Meet or coordinate with new hires to explain and demonstrate the scheduling process.
- Primary point of contact for personnel; ensure resources are receiving timely and appropriate feedback.
- Collaborate with management to provide on-going analysis to ensure maximum utilization of employees.
- Review any variance in forecasted to actual productivity of assigned resources with manager as necessary.
- Workforce planning/headcount analysis/needs assessment.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or B.A. preferred but not required
- 3+ years’ experience in public accounting, consulting or other professional services organization in either a scheduling or client service role
- Strong communication skills; ability to interact, and sometimes have difficult conversations, with a wide range of professionals
- Demonstrated ability with customer relationship building and providing on-going exceptional customer service across an organization
- Strong leadership skills with the confidence to work independently, as well as being a “team player” and flexible.
- Strong organizational, time management and logical thinking skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required
- Positive, can-do attitude, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
- Motivated, self-starter who will think creatively to problem solve and improve processes
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognize and support the partnership’s preferences and priorities.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communications.
- Results and profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations; capacity for rendering objective business decisions.
- Strong technical skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel (v-lookups and pivots), web-based applications such as Retain or other scheduling platform, Power BI, etc.).
- General understanding of financial institutions and/or technology and cybersecurity terminology is preferred.
- This position requires minimal travel. Preferred location for this role would be within a 4-hour drive of the Chicagoland suburbs.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
