Position Overview: The Electronic Health Records (EHR) Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting the deployment, configuration, and adoption of EHR systems within healthcare environments. This role works closely with clinical teams, operational stakeholders, and technical staff to ensure successful implementation and optimization of electronic health record platforms. The specialist helps translate clinical and administrative workflows into system functionality, supports phased rollouts, and ensures the solution aligns with operational needs while improving patient care and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, configuration, and deployment of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems across healthcare departments and clinical units.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate clinical workflows into system functionality.
  • Assess current-state processes and assist in designing future-state workflows that align with clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate implementation activities including system setup, testing, deployment planning, and go-live support.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment throughout the implementation process.
  • Assist with system configuration, including templates, documentation workflows, forms, and clinical data capture tools.
  • Develop and maintain implementation documentation, workflow diagrams, and training materials.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolution with technical teams and vendors.
  • Monitor deployment progress, identify risks, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Provide on-site or remote support during go-live and post-implementation stabilization phases.
  • Assist with user training and support change management initiatives to ensure successful system adoption.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or participating in EHR implementations in healthcare environments.
  • Experience implementing major EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar healthcare systems.
  • Previous experience working in hospital, healthcare, or clinical environments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, data privacy standards, and documentation practices.
  • Experience with phased deployments, system integrations, and clinical documentation tools.
  • Background in healthcare informatics, health information management, or clinical systems implementation.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient documentation processes, and hospital or clinical operations.
  • Experience gathering requirements, conducting workflow analysis, and supporting system configuration.
  • Ability to coordinate implementation activities across multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills when working with clinical and technical teams.
  • Experience supporting testing phases such as system testing and user acceptance testing.
