Position Overview: We are seeking a Ne twork Specialist to design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot computer networks. This includes configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware, ensuring

secure and efficient data communication, maintaining network performance, and supporting connectivity issues.

  • Success is measured in delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Effectiveness in leading local IT operations and providing strategic input.
  • Resolution of high-complexity issues without escalation.
  • Adherence to IT security protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • End-user satisfaction and feedback on both technical support and leadership effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Check network health and performance dashboards
  • Review alerts or issues from overnight
  • Respond to urgent tickets or outages
  • Perform routine maintenance or updates
  • Configure or install network hardware
  • Troubleshoot ongoing user/network issues
  • Document changes or incidents
  • Plan for upgrades or new deployments
  • Meet with IT/security teams for coordination


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field required, master’s degree a plus.
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise networks, including substations and OT environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls (Check Point highly preferred)
  • Solid experience configuring and supporting site-to-site VPN
  • Experience with SolarWinds monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of servers and basic database concepts as they relate to network monitoring


and applications

  • CCNP or equivalent real-world experience required
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation and perform after-hours support as needed
  • Experience with networking and associated protocols/technologies/solutions including


TCP/UDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DNS, SNMP, IPsec, SSL, DHCP, VRRP, NTP, IPv4, IPv6,

QoS, HSRP, MPLS, VDC, vPC, VLAN, ACL, VPN, VACL, DMVPN, T1’s, DS3’s, OC3’s,

10Gb, 40Gb.

  • Experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco Firepower and TACACS.
  • Experience with IP addressing includes subnetting, route aggregation, and BGP route maps.
  • Cisco and Mitel Voice Networks.
  • Experience with infrastructure AC/DC Systems.
  • Experience with environmental infrastructure such as cabling, racks, power.
  • Implement and manage satellite and cellular networks.
  • Experience implementing and managing Cisco devices as well as Juniper (preferred)and Aruba


(preferred).

  • Implement and manage wireless infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage software-defined networking technologies (SDWAN/ACI).


Demonstrates expertise in diagrams and documentation.

  • Experience with technologies such as Next Generation Firewalls, Checkpoint, VMware,


SolarWinds, Azure.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with scripting using Python applied (Version 3 and above).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco Routing & Switching.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service.
  • Ability to work in a positive team environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
  • At least 10 years of relevant technical experience in a senior role or equivalent. Demonstrates


expertise in architecture and ability in learning and assessing multiple technologies.

  • Expert knowledge in multiple architectural domains.
