Cisco Next Generation FirePower Threat Defence (FTD) is the flagship product from Security Business Group (SBG). FTD integrates award-winning ASA Firewall services and world's best & well known IPS engine SNORT into a high-performance appliance. FirePower Management Center (FMC) and Cloud FMC (aka cdFMC : SAAS avatar of FMC) provides the management capability for the FTDs, which makes customers life much easier.

Talking specifically about Cloud FMC: it brings cutting edge security management features to the customers at a fast pace and needs equally fast paced technical innovation and adaptations to the cloud tech, while keeping parity with the on-prem FCM.

Currently, cdFMC team is looking for talented and motivated individuals who can work optimally in a collaborative environment and contribute to the development and test of our cloud FMC platform, while providing feature asks in the MSSP market segment.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree (or above) in computer science or related field with 6+ years (if Master’s degree then 4+ years’ experience) of overall software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in technically designing features and hands-on developing them, working with other team members
    • Hands-on development experience in API Driven Microservices Architecture and very good coding experience in Perl OR Python
    • Strong fundamentals of data structures, algorithms, design patterns and async programming.
    • Strong exp in Security, Networking, license.
    • Knowledge of UT, IT and automation of Testcases
    • Knowledge of AWS provided services : focused primarily at EFS, RDS, EC2, S3 and Lambda services

Nice to have:

o Agile software development experience.

    • A proven understanding of security best-practices in web development.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in development and testing the New/Existing Functionality in the Product
  • Automate tests using FTL and Integrate them into Regression

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
