As a key leader within Ciena’s global operations, this role shapes how employees move around the world. The Senior Manager, Corporate Travel Programs drives a traveler‑centric, compliant, and scalable travel ecosystem—advancing policies, processes, technology, and supplier partnerships that support business objectives and elevate the employee experience.

How you will make an impact:
• Lead the strategy, governance, and execution of a global corporate travel program aligned to Ciena’s business priorities and traveler experience goals.
• Shape and maintain corporate travel policies grounded in industry best practices and responsive to evolving business needs.
• Direct strategic vendor partnerships to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective travel services across airlines, hotels, and ground transportation.
• Partner with Procurement, Risk and Security, Finance, and global business stakeholders to strengthen duty of care, risk mitigation, and policy compliance.
• Advance travel technologies, data insights, and automation to improve program performance and service delivery.
• Guide continuous improvement initiatives informed by industry trends, regulatory changes, and traveler feedback.
• Oversee travel processes that emphasize simplicity, responsive support, and a consistently positive traveler experience.

The must haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience, including communication with executive stakeholders.
• Expertise in the corporate travel industry, travel technology platforms, strategic data analysis, vendor and contract management, and risk mitigation.
• Proven success driving process improvement and change management within a dynamic business environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural and diverse global workforce.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Nice to haves:
• Experience supporting large‑scale meetings or events that require complex travel coordination.
• Knowledge of New Distribution Capability (NDC) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Background in Indirect Procurement environments.
• Familiarity with travel‑related customer support models and service delivery frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with senior leadership on policy or process updates.
• Prior involvement in cross‑functional initiatives related to travel operations.
• Understanding of global regulatory considerations affecting business travel.

Pay Range:
The annual pay range for this position in Canada is $84, 700 - $135, 300
The annual pay range for this position in Canada is $95, 900 - $153, 100

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
