What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s team, the Consultant, Sales Effectiveness is responsible for contributing to projects that impact the business through in-depth research analysis, interpretation, documentation, and advice on moderately complex business information. The role applies subject matter expertise to consult with the business on process improvements, leading the technical development to deliver high quality processes and procedures while ensuring compliance with CIBC requirements standards, work practices, processes, security standards and policies. The Consultant, Sales Effectiveness uses independent judgement to provide guidance to project teams, applying a comprehensive, conceptual and practical understanding of the area of specialization to a wide range of business and technical situations while analyzing business performance.

How you'll succeed

  • Relationship & Partner Management - Develop and maintain productive relationships with designated business owners and lines of business peers, including but not limited to Process Solutions, Frontline Operations & Support, Retail Operations, and Technology. Work with Mobile Advice leadership and the frontline to determine needs and provide appropriate support. Develop and manage relationships with management/senior management (including business leaders).

  • Organization - Oversee requests from various stakeholders and thoughtfully create and/or edit a wide variety of presentation and communication materials (e.g. key messages, communication plans, tactical deliverables, presentations etc.)

  • Communication - Superior interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to convey or present factual and conceptual information on issues which require detailed explanation and interpretation.

  • You can demonstrate work experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration in financial services with an understanding of channels, process, products technology & operations, back office, and business controls. You have well-developed project management and strategic business-planning skills with the ability to develop plans/tactics to support strategies & objectives.

Well-developed communication and interactive skills to convey factual and conceptual information on issues requiring detailed explanation/interpretation and communicate effectively at all levels in the organization. Ability to establish productive relationships between various leaders, departments and partners across all business groups in the organization.
