What you’ll be doing
As Senior Product Manager, Managed Solutions, you will report to the Director, Product Development and Management, Managed Solutions.
You will be an integral member of the Product Development and Management team, supporting product innovation, development, shelf management, and strategic priorities for our Managed Solutions offering. This includes developing and implementing new product initiatives, managing product enhancements, and advancing other key business initiatives across CIBC Asset Management’s product platforms. You will be responsible for managing the product lineup, considering sales and client feedback, market data, and the broader competitive landscape.
You will play a key role in the product development and management strategy, collaborating with teams across the organization — including sales, marketing, portfolio management, and operations. You will provide analytical support and leverage a thorough understanding of products, pricing plans, client segments, and competitive market behaviour to develop and recommend plans and tactics that optimize the product mix, enhance client experience, and help clients achieve their ambitions. You will exercise sound judgement in decision-making on complex issues, contributing to product planning, development, management, and performance to meet the needs of CIBC clients efficiently and competitively.

The expected annualized base salary range for this $92,490 to $127,200.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.
In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How you’ll succeed
Product Development & Management – Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in product design, management, strategic planning, and project management sufficient to identify, develop, and implement approved initiatives (experience preferably in financial services);
Product Development - Lead the development and management of the CIBC Asset Management Managed Solutions product offer: Provide investment insight in the development of market-leading products. Serve as the key lead in designing and implementing new products or enhancements initiatives. Develop business cases and recommendations. Collaborate with the marketing team on product development content, positioning and competitive analysis.Maintain deep knowledge of the product offering across platforms, channels and product features.
Product Management - Deliver the implementation of enhancements to the CIBC Asset Management Managed Solutions product offer: Analyze business needs and objectives and participate in the development and implementation of strategic product plans, including on-going operational management and support. Manage key stakeholders such as legal, tax, business management, and risk. Assemble and managing a project team composed of internal and external representatives to implement new products or services. Provide on-going management in the delivery of a product or service while ensuring that the activities are consistent with CIBC's values, the product group or business plans and coordinated with the activities of other related areas: Maintain comprehensive competitive information on market penetration, product capabilities and initiatives. Work with internal and external teams to communicate product information and key positioning by providing on-going, high quality support related to the product or services.
Analytical - Understand and interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends in new or strategic areas, and develop recommendations, often with minimal direction in order to respond to urgent business priorities.
Leadership – Demonstrate well-developed management and leadership skills sufficient to achieve results within a matrix organization, including the ability to bring about change at a senior level.
Relationship management - Meet business objectives by managing relationships and working effectively with internal and external partners including marketing and other lines of business, partners and vendors.
Who you are
You demonstrate experience in business planning, business model development and pricing best-practices You have in-depth knowledge of mutual fund products and possess strategic planning skills to establish and co-ordinate complex assignments and projects. You bring 3-5 years of investment product development, proficiency in MS office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and expertise with Morningstar Direct. Detailed knowledge of the financial services industry, with a preference for asset management experience. Strong understanding of investment and mutual fund products, as well as regulatory environment. Experience in product development, product management, and project management. Leadership skills sufficient to achieve results within a matrix management environment involving specialists with diverse skills, knowledge and orientations. Extensive financial and investment modeling capabilities.

You have a University degree in Business or Finance. Other industry accreditations an asset (e.g. CSC CFP, IFIC). Strong analytical skills – CFA candidate or charter holder preferred.
