What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Consultant within our People Analytics team, you will design, develop, and deliver best-in-class analytics solutions to empower CIBC leaders in managing human capital across areas such as attraction, retention, talent, and inclusion.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing Custom Workflows & Dashboards: Develop tailored workflows in Alteryx/Databricks, and build complex, insightful dashboards in Tableau.
- Delivering Strategic Insights: Summarize and communicate workforce trends to Senior Executives and business partners through compelling visualizations and presentations, enabling fact-based decision-making.
- Advising and Guidance: Provide technical and professional guidance to junior consultants and analysts on complex and conceptual issues.
- Innovative Solutions: Apply creativity and lateral thinking to analyze data and develop new approaches that address organizational challenges.

How you’ll succeed
- Advanced Dashboard Development- Build advanced, custom dashboards in Tableau that translate business questions into actionable insights, adhering to visualization and People Analytics best practices. Demonstrate meticulous attention to design principles, including font selection, layout, and overall presentation, to ensure clarity, consistency, and a professional look.
- People Analytics Best Practices- Apply creative thinking to select optimal analytical methods and metrics. Develop expertise in new data sources, data flows, and anomaly detection to deliver robust solutions.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills- Conduct deep-dive data mining and complex analyses to present comprehensive workforce views. Proactively raise and enhance existing products and processes through impact assessment.
- Consulting & Communication-Translate complex data and business challenges into clear human capital insights. Shape business requirements with senior stakeholders and communicate findings to ensure understanding and adoption.
- Design Excellence- Apply advanced design principles to create dashboards that are not only insightful but also visually polished. Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in font selection, layout, and overall presentation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a professional look that enhances user experience and drives engagement.
- Leadership & Coaching- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment. Mentor and coach junior team members to elevate team performance and knowledge.
- Project Management- Take ownership of work assignments, overseeing all aspects from initiation to completion. Coordinate work assignments across team members, keep others informed, and effectively manage all components to ensure requirements and project timelines are met.
- Effective Collaboration- Work closely with team members throughout the analytics process, ensuring smooth handoffs, clear communication, and coordinated efforts. Guide and support others, follow up as needed to deliver the best product for clients.
Who you are
- You have 5+ years of experience conducting creative analyses, ideally within HR, and are skilled in delivering reports, dashboards, and presentations for Senior Management and Executives.
- You can demonstrate experience in Tableau. Experience with tools such as Alteryx, Databricks, PowerBI It’s an asset if you have Workday knowledge.
- You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.
- You have a keen eye for design and understand the importance of visual aesthetics in analytics. You pay careful attention to font choices, layout, and formatting to ensure dashboards are clear, engaging, and aligned with CIBC’s brand standards.
