What You'll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s team, the Consultant, Process and Change Management plays a key role in driving operational excellence and transformation. In this role, you will support the delivery of advanced consulting advice in Retail Operations and provide research and insights to inform decision-making. You will proactively analyze and assess existing processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, cost optimization, risk reduction, and enhanced client experience. Working closely with Process SMEs and Technology teams, you will help design and implement process improvements, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions. You will also lead and support change management activities to ensure the successful adoption of process enhancements across Retail Ops. In addition, you will provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management, enabling strategic decisions that align with CIBC’s goals and objectives. Finally, you will promote a culture of continuous improvement by fostering ongoing process evaluation and enhancement to sustain operational excellence. Please note, this is a 12 month contract opportunity.

How You'll Succeed

  • Process Optimization - Identify, recommend, and implement process changes that enhance operations, improve efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and elevate the client experience.

  • Business Effectiveness - Continuously evaluate and improve business processes, leveraging technology and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational effectiveness.

  • Strategic Thinking Approach - Drive, manage, and execute process improvement, data, and reporting projects in alignment with CIBC’s strategy. Mobilize and engage teams across the enterprise to deliver strategic change.

  • Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with Process SMEs, Technology, and business partners, ensuring alignment and shared success.

  • Change Management - Develop and execute change management plans to support process changes, ensuring effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Communication - Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate process changes, analysis, and recommendations to diverse audiences.

  • Reporting - Track progress, analyze data and process metrics, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • You have proven process improvement experience. Demonstrated experience in process analysis, business process improvement, and change management, ideally within financial services or consulting.

  • You can demonstrate experience with. Proficient with programming languages and modern analytical tools (e.g., Alteryx, SQL, Python, PowerApps, PowerBI, Tableau) and skilled in leveraging data for insights.

  • You have a degree in a quantitative field. Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is an asset.

  • You are a strategic problem solver. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to independently identify business challenges and recommend effective solutions.
