What you’ll be doing

As the Director, Regulatory Reporting & Market Risk Analytics, you'll ensure ongoing regulatory market risk reporting and analytical requirements are met by providing oversight on activities performed by risk analysts that provide prehensive reporting and analytical support for all key market risk measures such as daily VaR, Stressed VaR, sensitivities; Stress P&L; P&L decomposition, and regulatory capital, at the bank-wide level, including incremental contributions from businesses and risk factors. You will also lead in solving reporting issues and the development/enhancement of new market risk methodologies/models as well as provide support on annual and quarterly OSFI deliverables, regular and ad-hoc statutory reporting deliverables.

How you'll succeed

  • Relationship management - Maintain a proactive working relationship with Finance, Trading Floor risk managers, and Risk Analytics teams to ensure ongoing effective and timely reporting and analysis of market risk measures such as VaR and P&L decomposition for internal and external reporting. When cross sectional issues exists, work in partnership with these teams to develop solutions through active problem solving and consensus building skills.

  • People leadership - Manage the broader Regulatory Reporting and Risk Analytics team, ensuring departmental and group controls are being adhered to in an ongoing and transparent manner.

  • Communication - Facilitate discussions of risk measures and drivers between all members of CMRM for the purpose of obtaining signoff on the measure and changes.

Who you are

  • You have strong practical and theoretical knowledge in market risk measurement and its supporting infrastructure including principles, practices, processes, procedures, trading products and services.

  • You have experience in regulatory reporting and good understanding of the market risk regulatory capital requirements/changes.

  • It's an asset if you have experience and knowledge in the areas of data warehousing, relational databases, and electronic information flow, along with good programming experience/skills including desktop computing applications such as Microsoft Office, SQL, and coding/scripting languages.

  • You have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
