What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Director, Digital Product, the Product Owner will be accountable for establishing a vision for the product iterations, being a voice of the client when establishing priorities, understanding needs of various stakeholders (line of business, tech, marketing, legal, risk, security, and many other) and ensuring alignment across the Digital Product and Digital Tech teams for each iterations. You will help define the roadmaps and capabilities that enable CIBC's Digital Sales objectives and modernization of our Digital Sales Platform. You are passionate about the intersection of business, design, and technology and strive to explore how financial services can become enjoyable digital experiences for our clients.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Data Backlog - Partner with Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams to define and drive data requirements to enable end-to-end funnel reporting and insights. Build a scalable framework for Sales funnel data reporting, enabling real-time monitoring of health metrics and long-term trend analysis

  • Create user stories, cross functional collaboration - You will curate user stories collaboratively with business system analysts, design, editorial, project managers, technical consultants and the larger product team

  • Subject matter expert – Be the primary contact for Sales Acquisition Platform related questions and present your product to internal stakeholders. You will manage go to market / release plans, monitor scope / schedule / budget and ensure the best ROI on the development effort with the project manager and technical leads. Ensure each iteration delivers expected result by working closely with the development team to define, design, accept and adapt features.

Who you are

  • You have 3 years of work experience with Digital Product Management and/or Digital Analytics and thrive at the intersection of product, analytics, and technology, balancing user needs and business goals.

  • You are a data-driven product champion with a passion for translating complex data requirements into meaningful client and business outcomes. You enjoy investigating complex data sets, and deriving insights. Previous experience with Adobe Analytics and Tableau is an asset.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, and you’ve spent at least 3 years in a Digital space or in a Product Owner role leading product delivery. It is an asset if you have a Masters/Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and/or experience with Agile methodologies.
