Key Responsibilities
System Configuration
- Customize and configure Encompass settings, fields, forms, and business rules to align with organizational processes and compliance requirements.
- Manage and implement workflow changes, templates, and reporting tools.
- Maintain a log of system enhancement requests and research new partner integrations.
- Conduct efficiency reviews of the current system to identify improvement opportunities.
User Management
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts and roles within Encompass.
- Assign permissions and troubleshoot user access issues.
- Conduct annual user reviews to ensure appropriate access levels.
- Provide user support and training as needed to maximize system utilization.
Integration with Secondary Market Investors
- Facilitate and manage integrations with secondary market investors as required.
Software Upgrades & Maintenance
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Encompass software upgrades and patches.
- Test new features and integrations prior to deployment to ensure system stability.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation and change logs.
- Perform regular system health checks and develop/test disaster recovery plans.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline business processes and reduce manual tasks.
- Leverage Encompass SDK, business rules, and custom scripting tools to enhance system functionality.
Troubleshooting and Support
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Encompass.
- Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with IT staff as needed.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure system configurations and user access comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Monitor system performance and security, addressing vulnerabilities as needed.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with mortgage operations, IT, compliance, and vendor support teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Encompass-related issues and system enhancements.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and support.
Capacity Planning
- Monitor system capacity and plan for future growth to support business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience administering Encompass LOS or similar mortgage software.
- Strong knowledge of Encompass configuration, user management, and workflow automation.
- Experience with Encompass scripting, SDK, and custom business rules.
- Familiarity with mortgage lending processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes, thereby negatively impacting CIBC’s reputation as a leading financial institution
AUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS
- As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- As a manager of people, this job has the authority to assign tasks to employees within their span of control, select individuals for hire, assess individual performance, make employee compensation decisions and take disciplinary measures up to and including termination.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
