What You’ll Be Doing
The Internal Audit (IA) mandate is to provide independent, objective assurance that the Bank’s system of internal controls for risk management and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning effectively. Internal Audit also provides specialist direction on enterprise security, protection, and investigation programs.
The Strategic Transformation Office (STO) within Internal Audit is a small, high functioning team dedicated to accelerating strategic focus areas, driving material improvements in audit execution and ultimately contributing to the organization’s long-term value creation and stakeholder engagement.
As the Director, Data Analytics Consultant within the STO, you will play a pivotal individual contributor in scaling data and AI solutions across all audit processes, and increasing auditor team data fluency so every phase of the audit lifecycle benefits from real-time insights, automation and governance improving efficiency and consistency. You will work closely with the Audit and DA teams, and resources from the broader IA team to structure and lead a working team in delivering these objectives.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote

- Delivery Excellence: You will hold yourself and your working team accountable to deliver on commitments (full scope with quality, on time and within budget where applicable). You will adopt the robust governance structures and reporting processes as established to ensure transparency, accountability, and informed decision-making.
