What you'll be doing

You will join CIBC’s Digital Technology, Performance Acceptance Testing team to develop, schedule, execute and coordinate test scenarios & procedures. As a PAT Sr Analyst, you will successfully translate business processes, systems functionality, and requirements into well-written test cases to deliver CIBC applications with high qualities of performance and operability. We are committed to innovation, specifically DevOps and Agile, and your subject matter expertise with these will help us deliver projects with high impact and value to our clients.

How you'll succeed

  • Requirement and Analysis – You will analyze, define, and translate business requirements, functional requirements, use cases, designs, and specifications into testing requirements. You will attend project meetings to report on the status of testing, communicate issues, implement QA standards and policies, and communicate the QA schedule. You will participate in project review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives or address issues.

  • Performance Testing and Coordination – You will be responsible for end-to-end system integration and performance testing both onsite and offshore for small and medium projects. You will report and manage issues and concerns around test activities throughout the software development lifecycle. You will be creating, maintaining, and executing Test Automation Load Runner scripts and ensure results achieve documented goals and objectives.

  • Innovation – You will be responsible for participating in and driving team changes and leading our transformation to adopt DevOps and Agile methodologies in the SDLC.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in JEE and development (2 years), development and/or automation load testing and system performance tuning (2 years), and experience working with databases. It is an asset if you have experience in Cloud technologies and tools, e.g. Tomcat, Openshift, Kubernetes/containers, LoadRunner Cloud, NeoLoad, or BlazeMeter, as well as DevOps and AppMon tools.You can demonstrate experience with developing test strategies, test plans, executing test cases, scripting, and defect tracking. You bring proven experience utilizing LoadRunner and/or other load testing tools. Your troubleshooting skills help resolve complex technical application and infrastructure problems.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or similar.

  • You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
