What you'll be doing

The Senior Consultant, Application Development will be working with Shared Platform Technology under ECIF and is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms. Design and develop scalable and secure solutions to manage client data within ECIS domain, ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy regulations. Lead the modernization of legacy systems, supporting migration of the client data management applications to cloud-native environments on Azure or OpenShift.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

• Design and Development - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.

• Strategic Planning - Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.

• Leadership Sills - Act as a development lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate 8 years of experience in. Java application development and support. You can clearly demonstrate technical understanding of Java/J2EE, JSON/REST API, RDBMS/SQL, GitHub, Docker, Maven/Gradle, Postman, Junit, App security Scan tools (Blackduck, fortify, SonarQube), Jenkins, CI/CD.
