What you’ll de doing
Reporting to the Senior Director, Team Rewards, the Consultant works collaboratively to complete moderately to complex analysis and develop recommendations on new or modified compensation programs that support business goals and market competitive practices.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
Analysis - Perform in-depth and moderately complex quantitative and qualitative analysis on existing and proposed compensation programs, including analyzing compensation trends, analyzing alternative scenarios, and developing costing models to determine the financial impact of salary and incentive plan changes. Prepare reports and/or presentations incorporating compensation analysis and recommendations, and participate in presenting analysis and recommendations to partners and business leaders.
Advise - Work with the Director, the Senior Director and other Total Rewards team members to recommend changes to current compensation programs, policies and procedures in order to ensure that such programs are market competitive, internally equitable, cost effective, aligned with CIBC policies and business objectives, and provide the ability for CIBC to attract and retain key talent. Work with partners, including Human Resource Business Partners and Business Leaders, to provide compensation advice on pay decisions, and policy and guideline interpretation.
Project Participation - Participate actively in projects to conduct internal and external market research by analyzing compensation surveys, developing and conducting ad-hoc market surveys, and participating in general compensation surveys. Prepare project plans for small compensation related programs or initiatives. May act as work package leader or coordinator.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience in Compensation, Finance or other analytical positions, and have very strong MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word and MS PowerPoint skills. It’s an asset if you have knowledge of government regulations, as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies and operations.
