What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Director, Advice & Investing Capabilities , the Director is accountable for developing, executing, & implement new strategies to drive client growth & new Money-In opportunities Developing new capabilities across the advice & investing ecosystem, aligned with the bank strategy. They will also be accountable for defining new capabilities & tools that are critical to the success of the business, including capabilities used by frontline advisors and client-facing digital platforms.

How you’ll succeed
Thought leadership - Support the Senior Director in providing regular direction, guidance and motivation to the broader team, all while striving for peak performance. Build ongoing partnerships with key partners across the business, technology delivery & architecture, and operations.
Strategy – Proactively identify innovative and scalable growth in advice and investing space, relevant to new and existing clients by assessing global competition, analyzing internal data and client needs. Partnering with vendors where applicable and client journey mapping, and turning those insights into actionable evolution strategy for current capabilities Own the development of a multi-year strategic roadmap, leading cross-functional ideation and strategy sessions. Maintain a strong understanding of the strengths and opportunities facing the business; utilize advanced business knowledge to ensure initiatives remain aligned to strategies and objectives.
Execution- Lead business case sizing opportunities that enable securing funds and buy-in from executive leadership, and develop appropriate KPIs and targets. Gather direct client and frontline feedback by engaging with key stakeholders and frontline team members at all levels.
Reporting & governance- Manage and monitor progress against KPIs set for the segment and for each program in-flight. Continuously monitor post-project implementation to ensure scale is achieved
Research and data analysis – Oversee internal and external research and data analysis to identify and evaluate potential opportunities, stay abreast of key trends, industry developments, client needs and regulatory changes. Provide leadership on required data analysis and quantitative assessments of opportunities. Interpret data and research to drive strategy development.
Cross-functional collaboration & relationship building – Proactively partner with stakeholders from across CIBC to identify opportunities and lead client growth and experience focused strategic initiatives. Collaborate with peers within the Client Segments and Product team (Key partners include Product, Marketing, Digital, Frontline Tools, and Regions (Frontline)
Execution/implementation – Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives - orchestrating work packages across various partners.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience of 8-10 years in business strategy, product or a business role. It's an asset if you have thorough knowledge of financial services sufficient to analyze and interpret complex information and concepts, apply/present these in innovative ways at all levels of the organization and ability/experience to effectively navigate a complex matrix organization.

You have a degree/diploma in Business Administration, preferred to have a Masters degree
