The Scrum Master role within the Digital Engineering organization is a matrix leadership position with considerable autonomy to efficiently deliver value for our customers in partnership with the Digital Product organization. Candidates should be able to establish relationships with stakeholders across software development functions (i.e. architecture, engineering, and quality assurance), as well as those from digital product (i.e. product management, user experience, information architecture).

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Lead and support a self-organizing team of digital engineering and product professionals to achieve daily, sprint, and program increment (PI) objectives
Partner with digital product managers and owners to effectively prioritize a robust backlog with simultaneous initiatives/projects
Plan team capacity and identify risks/constraints which need to be mitigated or addressed
Establish and promote core scrum and agile principles through best practices and ceremonies with a focus on teamwork, prioritization, and accountability
Act as a servant leader to orchestrate the resolution of impediments or blockers throughout the software development lifecycle
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/program increment (PI) progress
Drive continuous improvement by facilitating inclusive, transparent retrospectives that are fueled by a sense of team unity and desire to deliver

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

5+ years of experience leading software development scrum/project teams in an agile environment from requirements to implementation
Certification in scrum and/or agile methodologies (a demonstrated track record is acceptable in lieu of a certification)
Willingness to jump into solve problems or challenges that may arise where there is no clear owner within the team
Proficient in using Jira (or equivalent tool) to lead a team's backlog and in-sprint work
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Exceptional leadership skills in order to coordinate collaboration within and across partner teams
Proven track record to partner with senior leaders and influence the decision-making process, collaborate across the organization, and operate effectively within a matrix environment by resolving conflict and influencing others
Experience leading virtual or distributed teams across time zones

Nice to have:
Experience supporting digital or web/mobile application delivery
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Solid understanding of single page applications (SPA), service-oriented architecture (SOA), and/or public cloud (AWS or Azure)

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,600 - $148,800.
