In this role (remote-first), you will oversee and mentor a team of talented developers, ensuring we deliver high-quality, secure, and performant solutions in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to guide projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical feasibility, and best practices.

What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and coach cross-functional development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Coordinate with Product Managers to align project objectives, scope, and timelines, ensuring successful and on-time delivery of features
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle for our full-stack JavaScript/Node.js application, driving best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
- Encourage and implement agile methodologies to optimize team velocity, quality, and transparency, while proactively removing obstacles
- Collaborate with architects and senior developers to ensure technical solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
- Support the DevOps team and participate in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes, ensuring smooth deployments and high system reliability
- Create opportunities for team members to learn and grow, actively supporting professional development and career progression
- Foster a positive team environment by recognizing achievements, providing regular feedback, and promoting open communication
Who We’re Looking For
- A 3+ year degree / diploma in engineering, programming, computer science, or equivalent work experience in software development
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development, including at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role
- Strong proficiency with Node.js, JavaScript, and SQL; familiarity with event-driven architecture, containerization, SaaS, and multi-tenant environments is a plus
- Proven track record of leading teams in an agile environment, with experience guiding teams to deliver high-quality software on time
- Understanding of application security principles, including familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 risks
- Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills, with a commitment to nurturing a culture of continuous improvement
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day team coaching and support, enabling the team to excel and meet business objectives
