The Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI) is a not-for-profit scientific and technical organization. Founded in 1954, the mission of the institute is to advance the art, science, and engineering relating to aeronautics, astronautics, and associated technologies, and to nurture and promote the professionalism of those engaged in these pursuits. Membership is graded to reflect career progression, from junior member to fellow. CASI provides its members an international network of contacts and access to a wealth of technical and professional information. CASI members may affiliate with one of seven special interest sections and may attend meetings at branches across Canada. While branch activities vary, each has a program of regular meetings, invited speakers, site visits, and social events that afford an excellent opportunity for professional development and networking. CASI holds workshops, conferences, and symposia that draw delegates from Canada and around the world.
