Position Overview
The Junior SAP Support Analyst is primarily responsible for managing SAP user role authorizations and providing general system support. This role assists Calian’s SAP team by addressing end-user inquiries and performing routine support activities, including table configuration, timesheet assistance, and daily system checks. Additionally, the analyst will monitor, assign and take action on end user support requests.
Please note, this is a temporary 8 months position.
Responsibilities
SAP Support:
- Manage SAP Access Requests: Acknowledge incoming requests, obtain and document approvals, and facilitate the assignment or modification of security roles.
- Perform System Checks: Conduct daily and weekly checks to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Resolve End-User Issues: Collaborate with the SAP support team to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the production SAP environment.
- Assist with Testing and Diagnosis: Support team members in testing activities and diagnosing system-related problems.
- Monitor Support Channels: Track and respond to requests in the JIRA ticketing system, including inquiries related to electronic timesheets.
- Manage System Transports: Move transports between systems within the SAP landscape as required.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as needed to support the SAP environment and team objectives.
Ensure that the above duties and responsibilities are performed following the principles and intent of Change Management as described in policy IS-0012 Change Management
Qualifications
- Working towards or completed a Computer related (preferred) college diploma or equivalent OR 2 – 3 years of SAP experience with a focus on SAP Authorization.
- Must be able to obtain an enhanced security clearance
- Knowledge of audit principles and standards (eg: segregation of duties, SOX)
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ticket systems and managing
- Experience with Microsoft productivity tools such as MS Teams and Excel, including manipulating data within spreadsheets.
- Aptitude for learning new technologies quickly.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self motivated and self directed with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work within specific deadlines.
This role is Hybrid from Ottawa office ( 3 days per week).
