Position Overview
Calian is seeking a General Dentist to add to our clinical team working at CFB Winnipeg, MB.
Our General Dentists deliver full-scope oral care—from exams and diagnosis to preventive and therapeutic treatments. Working independently within a collaborative clinic team, they handle everything from routine appointments to urgent walk-ins.
(The clinic hours are 7:30am – 4pm. Monday – Friday, no evenings or weekends. Dental services are provided to active military members. No seniors, no children )
Responsibilities
- Assess the physical condition of the oral-facial complex
- Diagnose, treat, and prevent disease, disorder, or dysfunction of the oral-facial complex.
- Develop a care plan with the patient and the multi-disciplinary health care team to address patient’s oral health care and patient education on oral health hygiene practices, such as flossing and brushing
- Provide therapeutic interventions consistent with established diagnosis, such as restorative treatment, minor oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, pharmacological intervention, and lifestyle changes
- Provide administrative support such as but not limited to updating patient databases, referrals to other clinicians and maintaining patient records and documentation
Qualifications
- A license from the provincial or territorial regulatory organization in the province of practice
- Hold a Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C. Annual recertification is required.
- Must have experience in using dental amalgam and experience in molar non-surgical endodontic therapy within the last year

- You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
