Position Overview
The Data Strategy and Partnership Leader plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing Calian’s data vision in support of our pharmaceutical clients. This role defines the data strategy that drives business growth, enables real-world evidence (RWE) generation, and strengthens Calian’s digital and analytical capabilities through strategic partnerships.
You will serve as a bridge between commercial strategy, data innovation, and digital enablement—translating business needs into scalable data solutions that enhance client value and position Calian as a leader in data-driven health solutions.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Partnerships
- Translate divisional priorities into data and partnership strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage partnerships to enhance Calian’s real-world data (RWD), real-world evidence (RWE), and digital health capabilities.
- Contribute to the commercialization of data-driven and digital health solutions.
- Monitor and anticipate market trends to guide Calian’s data and digital health roadmap.
Commercial & Client Enablement
- Lead client conversations with pharmaceutical manufacturers on data insights, RWE, and analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Patient Support Program (PSP) leaders to design proposals, develop pricing models (FTE, FFS, FFP), and deliver tailored client solutions.
- Support execution of master service agreements (MSAs) and statements of work (SOWs) to ensure alignment with client expectations and outcomes.
Data Operations & Governance
- Oversee the design, build, and optimization of Calian’s reporting and analytics infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reporting, analytics, and data governance.
- Ensure data tools, including Responsive AI, are strategically aligned and continuously optimized to support business needs.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional project planning for digital product and data initiatives.
- Partner with Digital Product and Digital Health leadership to scope, cost, and prioritize development activities.
- Establish project governance frameworks, risk tracking, and performance reporting mechanisms.
- Define success metrics and create feedback loops to measure business and client impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Health Economics, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8–15 years of progressive experience in data strategy, commercial partnerships, or pharmaceutical services (including patient support programs).
- Proven ability to translate strategic plans into actionable data and partnership initiatives.
- Track record of building and managing strategic partnerships across data, digital health, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Experience in the commercialization of data-driven and digital health solutions.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics, including RWD, RWE, commercialization models, and digital health trends.
- Experience developing pricing strategies (FTE, FFS, FFP) and supporting business development efforts.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners.
- Proficiency in analytics, dashboarding, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with digital product development cycles and agile prioritization frameworks.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire collaboration across diverse teams.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in evolving business environments.
