Calian ITCS is currently seeking a System Administrator for a current opening to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing operations support and administration within tactical system environments (Windows Server).
- Integrate and support multiple systems across various environments (Lab, Deployed) as part of the continuous integration process.
- Perform software patching, system updates, and installation of new baseline releases.
- Configure and maintain hardware, software, systems, and networking components.
- Develop, document, and execute continuous integration and test plans.
- Install, configure, and support clustered Microsoft SQL Server nodes.
- Install and manage virtualized environments using VMware vCenter and ESXi.
- Support baseline environment delivery through virtualization platforms such as Dell EMC VxRail.
- Support interconnectivity and testing of Network Exchange Gateways with coalition networks (e.g., USA, NATO)
- Create and maintain detailed documentation and support tickets to aid business and technical decision-making.
- Utilize and manage multiple backup solutions (Veeam, DPM, NetWorker) for data protection, migration, and baseline management across hosts.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Secret (mandatory, must be eligible to apply)
- Controlled Goods Certification (mandatory, must be Canadian Citizen to appy)
- Language: English
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in system administration, preferably within a defense, secure, or tactical environment.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Proficiency with MS SQL Server installation and clustering.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools (Veeam, DPM, NetWorker).
- Knowledge of network configuration, system integration, and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
