Position Overview

Calian is seeking a Senior Developer – Azure Developer who not only knows how to develop but also understands theory, programming, design patterns and has the ability to mediate between clients, architects, and team members to design solutions throughout all phases of the software development process.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise solutions and integration components
  • Develop technical design and architecture for integration solutions
  • Work with a team of software developers to develop new applications and/or maintain existing applications.
  • Work with end users during system design to determine functionality needs.
  • Plan development activities and monitor progress to completion.
  • Solve problems and make business decisions to carry out job duties. Weigh alternatives and determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Communicate with users during program development to review progress and ensure that requirements have been met.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of development experience is required, including but not limited to:
  • BizTalk and/or Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Web/API Apps
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise software development using .NET stack, including: REST APIs, Web Applications and distributed systems
  • 5+ years of experience delivering solutions using enterprise design patterns like MVC, CQRS, SOLID principles and Micro Services architecture
  • 3+ years’ experience in SQL Server development
  • Working knowledge of UI frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Kendo UI, DevExpress, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of security best practices (e.g. OWASP)
  • Experience in NoSQL data stores development is an asset
  • Quick learner
  • Passionate for technical excellence
  • Self-motivated worker who can complete tasks under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Team Player
  • Comfortable performing component demonstration in front of key business holders, PMs, and clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Unit Testing/Test-Driven Development
  • Devops experience is a plus
  • HL7/FHIR experience is a plus
  • Concepts/knowledge of healthcare integration is a plus
